What is an AI Registry?

The Daiki AI registry is a centralized repository where your organization can store, manage, and track your artificial intelligence (AI) models and systems. It serves as a central hub for all AI-related information, providing a comprehensive overview of an organization’s AI assets.

  • Centralized Management: It offers a single access point for all AI systems and models, making it easier to manage and track their lifecycle.
  • Risk Mitigation: AI system registries help your organization identify and mitigate risks associated with AI deployment, such as bias, fairness, and security issues.
  • AI Governance and Compliance: AI registries help your organization ensure compliance with regulations and ethical guidelines, providing a clear audit trail.
  • Version Control: By tracking different versions of models and AI systems, your team can easily compare performance, identify improvements, and roll back if necessary.
  • Collaboration: They facilitate team collaboration by providing a shared platform for sharing and accessing AI models and systems.
  • Efficiency: By streamlining the management of AI systems, your company can improve efficiency.
  • IP Protection: An AI registry entry is cryptographically hashed and unambiguously identifiable to protect your intellectual property.

In essence, an AI system registry is a crucial tool for your organization to manage your AI efforts effectively.

Any AI model or system can be registered in the Daiki AI Registry. The registry is flexible enough to manage models for regression, classification, or prediction tasks, generative models for content creation or manipulation, and industry-specific machine learning systems of any type.

Daiki’s AI risk assessment tool benchmarks your system cards against industry standards using cryptographic fingerprinting. Compliance experts then review your submissions, offering approvals or detailed feedback for adjustments.

Each AI system card submitted is automatically benchmarked with others, including industry gold standards, resulting in a trustworthy rating, both overall and for each AI system card section. The Daiki responsible AI expert team ensures the highest quality benchmarking.

Each section is evaluated on the basis of 5 criteria: fairness, transparency, security, accuracy, and robustness. Your trustworthiness score is based on these criteria, our benchmarking, and the monitoring of your models.

As with all data that is stored in Daiki the AI registry data is stored on private servers, nobody other than your organization has access.

Plus, the Daiki AI Registry fingerprint is a completely anonymized digital identifier of your model that doesn’t disclose any sensitive information about your AI system but still allows for operations like compliance checks and comparisons to other models.

The Daiki AI registry can help organizations meet several requirements of the AI Act, particularly those related to AI governance, transparency, and traceability.

Here are some of the specific requirements that are addressed through the Daiki AI Registry:

  • Record-keeping (Article 15): The AI Act requires operators to keep records of AI systems they develop, deploy, or use. Our AI Registry serves as a central repository for storing this information.

  • Transparency (Article 16): The AI Act mandates that operators of high-risk AI systems provide users with clear information about the system’s capabilities and limitations. Daiki’s AI Registry helps you document these details and makes them easily accessible.

  • Human Oversight (Article 17): The AI Act emphasizes the importance of human oversight in AI systems. Our AI registry facilitates the tracking and documentation of human involvement in developing, deploying, and monitoring AI systems.

  • Cooperation with Authorized Representatives (Article 22): The AI Act requires operators (defined as “provider, product manufacturer, deployer, authorized representative, importer or distributor”) to cooperate with authorized representatives. Daiki’s AI registry helps your organization provide the necessary information and documentation to authorities upon request.

  • Data Governance (Article 23): The AI Act places obligations on operators regarding data governance, including data quality, security, and privacy. Our AI registry helps your team track and manage data used in AI systems.

Yes, the Daiki AI registry is also relevant for other regulations. While the AI Act is a specific piece of legislation targeting AI, many other regulations and standards have implications for developing, deploying, and using AI systems.

The AI registry is an important prerequisite for the following regulations, among others.

  • ISO/IEC 42001 outlines a framework for AI management systems, ensuring organizations meet the highest standards for AI development and use.

  • ISO 13485 is the standard for quality management systems in the medical device industry.

  • ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

By providing a centralized platform for managing AI systems and models, organizations can demonstrate compliance with various regulations and mitigate risks associated with AI deployment.

The patent behind Daiki’s AI Registry ensures, in a very formalized way, the technical provability that the model is yours. It involves correct, formalized documentation and a digital fingerprint that assigns a digital ID to each AI system/model.

The Daiki AI Registry enables versioning. Each update (and re-evaluation) to your model will result in a new version in the registry. All changes are tracked automatically by Daiki, which gives you a complete provenance documentation of your AI systems.

Advanced features of the Daiki AI Registry provide a full monitoring solution for your models, which is an important prerequisite for functional robustness as well as trustworthy AI operation.

We’ve designed Daiki’s AI Registry to be quick and easy to set up. Most organizations can onboard within a few hours using our intuitive platform and templates.
